Summer Activities at Whitefish Mountain Resort
Whitefish Mountain Resort isn’t just for winter skiers, they also offer a wide variety of family-friendly summer activities for adventurers, nature lovers, and wildlife enthusiasts. It’s open approximately Memorial Day through mid-September, check out the WMF site for details.
Alpine Slides: Ride a sled down dips, around banked turns, under bridges, and through a tunnel while controlling speed with a hand brake. Each lap down includes a free chairlift ride on Chair 6 back to the top of the slides. Alpine slides are fun for everyone of all ages!
Zip Line Tours: Whitefish Mountain Resort offers Montana’s largest zip line! The views are incredible and the exhilaration is unmatched. The tours are around 2.5 hours long and involve a bit of hiking, so bring your hiking shoes!
Mountain Biking: Enjoy more than 25 miles of cross-country and lift-accessed mountain bike trails.
Aerial Adventure Park: Lovingly called an “obstacle course in the trees”, the Aerial Adventure Park is a great way for park-goers of all skill levels to traverse through the trees and take in some incredible views!
Scenic Lift Rides: With the option to choose an enclosed gondola or a good old-fashioned chair lift, take a ride to the summit and take in the stunning mountain scenery.
Hiking: There are trails for everyone at Whitefish Mountain Resort. Whether you’re a more casual hiker or looking for a challenge, there’s a trail for you!
The Summit House: Located at the top of the mountain with gorgeous views of the entire Flathead Valley & Glacier National Park, The Summit House is open in the summer and you can grab lunch and a drink while you soak in the views.
Summit Nature Center: Located in the Summit House on the lower level. Operated by the Flathead National Forest Service! This is a fun, family-friendly learning experience about our local forests, flora and fauna!
